About

Welcome to Let There Be Hope Counselling. My name is Brenda, and I’m a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor Candidate (RTCc) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT).

This practice was born from my own lived experience, years marked by chronic illness, trauma, mental health struggles, and the kind of loneliness that can feel unbearable. I’ve faced life-threatening health crises, family estrangement, and emotional pain that left me feeling invisible. Through it all, I’ve held onto one truth: healing begins when we feel truly seen.

My mission is simple yet profound: to offer a compassionate presence so no one has to suffer alone.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, chronic illness, grief, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is warm, grounded, and client-centered. I don’t just bring training, I bring empathy shaped by real-life experience. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, unheard, and exhausted. And I know how powerful it can be to have someone truly listen, without judgment.

Whether you’re in crisis, feeling stuck, or simply seeking clarity, you don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to walk beside you, with hope, compassion, and unwavering support.

At Let There Be Hope Counselling, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for adults navigating emotional pain, mental health challenges, and life transitions. Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, chronic illness, or deep loneliness, you don’t have to carry it alone. I’m here to walk beside you, with empathy, understanding, and hope. I offer in-person and online sessions.

  Learn to manage overwhelming thoughts, emotional lows, and the pressure to “hold it all together.”

You are not alone in this. Your pain is valid, and there is room for all of it here. We will move gently, together, toward steadiness, care, and renewed hope. (Not an emergency or crisis service. If you need immediate help, please call 9-8-8.)

  Support through past trauma, divorce, career changes, or identity shifts, whatever life throws your way.
